A new updated Facility is planned, capable of handling a larger cafeteria load and updated kitchen is planned at the top of a hill, overlooking a field.
The North
This side features a full length porch, harkening to the old dining hall porch. The wide timber columns anchor the porch to the adjacent field and
the architecture of the campus. Wide sliding doors continue the connection of the field to the interior.
South Side
A Mirror image of the entry Dormer, the cantilevered private dining will feel like a tree house among the trees. A steep hill allows a full story below
the dining hall for a full time resident and part time suites. A large South facing clerestory will being light deep into the dining facility to reduce the
amount of artificial lighting needed. The light will filter through a trellis of structural members which also serve to support the flags.
Interior
Wood beams are interweaved like fingers joined together in unity; emphasizing that together we work together, as these many structural members do, to support
a larger cause. A large stone fireplace will be the focal point. Flags from the old Dining Hall will be relocated to this new facility.
